Recently the Georgetown County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs tasked Solutions! Ink with updating their logo and website. A new corporate identity was created for the agency and the look transferred to a new website design.

The new logo, which was a vast re-imaginging of their previous logo, has two ‘helping hands’ stretching out over the shape of Georgetown County. With new, fresher colors, the logo’s life has been extended for years, and applied to new business cards, letterhead and envelopes.

Additionally, a new content-managed site with matching graphics and colors has been implemented, giving the GDDSN room to grow.

Challenged to promote Bennettsville as a tourist destination, Solutions! Ink knew immediately that an outstanding web presence was essential to this marketing effort.

We realized Bennettsville is an excellent daytrip destination and offered many other activities to draw visitors. Located on a major highway between North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, we wanted visitors to look at what Bennettsville offered.

We identified the key areas to begin the website and have since added numerous other sections including television ads, all brochures produced for Bennettsville and a meeting planner page.

We have also included stories about local farmer’s markets, restaurants, bed and breakfasts and historically significant events and places.

Solutions! Ink was retained by the City of Bennettsville to coordinate a tourism marketing campaign.

Solutions! Ink was retained by the City of Bennettsville to coordinate a tourism marketing campaign. “Visit a Day. See a Lifetime.” was the theme chosen to create the campaign around. A website (visitbennettsville.com) was developed first along with a day trip brochure and walking tour brochure of the historic downtown. Television spots and print advertising, in such publications as Preservation magazine, Southern Living and other regional publications, were created. All brochures, television spots and other collateral are posted to the website.

Press releases are utilized to promote events regionally and the website continues to be the primary source of information for people looking to visit the city. Brochures have been mailed to such groups as senior centers in South Carolina, members of the SC Association of Society Executives and historical societies.

As the marketing and public relations consultant for more than 10 years with the SC Book Festival, Ann has been challenged to promote and market this annual event which draws approximately 5000 people including nationally and internationally known authors.

Maximizing the marketing budget, media partners are cultivated to provide both paid and in-kind promotions for the event through television and print. Collateral including posters, event program and ads are created annually to reflect the unique focus of each festival. Press releases are written and distributed statewide and throughout the region to feature specific events and authors. Banners in downtown Columbia, media interviews and an up-to-date website further stretch marketing dollars.

Solutions! Ink is also responsible for evaluating paid media opportunities and placing ads in publications throughout the state to reach the Book Festival target audience.
